Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings, travel arrangements, transportation services, and related services provided by Binota Travels. By accessing our website, requesting a quotation, making a booking, or making a payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, “Binota Travels”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Binota Travels. “Customer”, “you”, or “your” refers to the person making a booking or using our services. “Services” refers to any travel, transportation, tour, or related service provided by Binota Travels.

2. Scope of Services

Binota Travels acts as a provider of travel-related services including private taxi services, airport transfers, intercity transportation, sightseeing tours, and customized travel arrangements within Sri Lanka.

All services are subject to availability and may be provided directly by Binota Travels or through third-party service providers such as drivers, hotels, or tour operators.

3. Bookings and Confirmations

All booking requests must be submitted through our official communication channels. A booking is not confirmed until we have received and verified the required payment.

If final payment is not received by the due date advised at the time of booking, Binota Travels reserves the right to cancel the booking without further notice and without liability for any loss incurred by the customer.

4. Prices and Quotations

All prices quoted are based on information provided by the customer at the time of quotation. Prices may vary depending on distance, duration, vehicle type, fuel costs, and service requirements.

Quotations are valid only for the period specified and may be withdrawn or amended if booking details change.

5. Booking Fees, Amendments, and Cancellations

Subject to applicable consumer laws, cancellation or amendment of bookings may attract fees. These fees may be charged by Binota Travels and/or third-party service providers.

Amendment and cancellation fees may vary depending on the amount of work required to process the change and the policies of the relevant service providers. In some cases, fees may be up to 100% of the booking cost, even if travel has not commenced.

Where possible, we will advise you of applicable cancellation or amendment fees prior to confirming your booking.

6. Refunds

Refunds for travel products and services are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant service provider. Where refunds are available, Binota Travels will provide reasonable assistance in processing refund claims.

We are unable to issue refunds until funds have been received from the relevant service provider. Refund processing times may vary and depend on banks and payment processors.

Binota Travels is not responsible for delays in refunds caused by third-party providers or financial institutions.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

Many travel services are provided by independent third-party providers. Binota Travels acts as an intermediary and is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or defaults of such providers.

Any disputes regarding services provided by third parties are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by those providers.

8. Changes by Binota Travels

Binota Travels reserves the right to modify or cancel services due to operational, safety, or unforeseen circumstances including weather conditions, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, strikes, or government restrictions.

In such cases, we may offer an alternative service or refund where applicable, but we shall not be liable for additional expenses incurred by the customer.

9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate booking details and being present at the agreed pickup location at the scheduled time.

Customers are responsible for their personal belongings. Binota Travels accepts no liability for loss, damage, or theft of personal items.

10. Travel Delays and Force Majeure

Binota Travels is not liable for delays or disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control including traffic conditions, accidents, weather, natural disasters, or acts of government.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Binota Travels shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage.

Our total liability, where applicable, shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

12. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Payment details are processed securely by third-party payment providers, and Binota Travels does not store credit or debit card information.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services, making a booking, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full.
